Personality[edit | edit source]
When first introduced he is motivated only by three things: money, fame, and maintaining the chaotic era as it is. He was more than willing to kill Nobuna as he was hired to do for the fame despite how she could likely pay him more.
He is also not picky on who his employers are as his last job had involved killing Takeda Shingen for the sake of the Oda clan. Though this job later failed because of Yoshiharu's interference.
Repeated failures begin to weigh down his resolve, after failing to kill Nobuna twice he begins to drink heavily and denounce himself as useless. Later on he beings to think about Yoshiharu's words and reenvisions them as him saying that Zanjuurou simply isn't destined to change the future in any way, after failing to kill Shingen this takes home and he retires to become a monk. While he was prepared to die, felt enlighten during his final failure, Shingen chose to spare Zanjuurou, likely because of how he was familiar with Yoshiharu and how he blurted his revelation on how assassins can't affect history, which later made him a changed man afterwords.
